	Remove/install
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

1	Place front wheels in straight-ahead position
2	Reduce pressure in suspension strut (40) with STAR DIAGNOSIS	STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnostic system
3	Detach pressure line (40a) from suspension strut (40).	If pressure line connection or pressure line (40a) is damaged: ↓	*BA32.25-P-1003-04L
		Repair AIRmatic pressure line connection.	AR32.22-P-2001-02SX
4	Loosen nuts (40b) on front end		*BA32.25-P-1001-04L
5	Disconnect electrical connector in wheel well		AR33.10-P-0100-06SX
6	Unscrew nut (1a) of stabilizer bar link rod (1) from wheel carrier (7) and press out stabilizer bar link rod (1)		*BA32.20-P-1002-02O
7	Detach line bracket from suspension strut (40)
8	Remove bolts (40c) from spring strut (40)		*BA32.25-P-1002-04L
9	Loosen suspension strut (40) at ball joint of spring control arm using a suitable lever	Check boot of ball joint in spring control arm for damage and replace spring control arm if necessary: ↓ Replace spring control arm.	AR33.15-P-0170SX
10	Unscrew nuts (40b), press wheel carrier (7) downwards and remove suspension strut (40) downwards to the side	Installation: Loosely screw on nuts (40b). Do not tighten to specified tightening torque until suspension strut (40) is filled.
	Checking
11	Check suspension strut (40)	When replacing or reinstalling, check the condition and if damaged or faulty replace the suspension strut (40): ↓	AR32.25-P-1017-02SX
		Dispose of suspension strut.	OS32.25-P-0122-01SX
12	Install in the reverse order
13	Check AIRmatic for leaks.		AR32.22-P-8100SX
