	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
	Risk of injury from grazing or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels.	AS00.00-Z-0017-01A
1	Remove key from ignition lock
2	Open engine hood and raise vehicle using the lifting platform
3	Pry off covers (1)	Model 221
4	Unscrew nuts (1a) and remove screws (1b)	In order to attach the front bumper in the area of the cooler.
5.1	Unclip air inlet grate (2)	Model 216
5.2	Remove bolts (2a, 6 pieces) and remove air inlet grille (2)	Model 221
6	Remove bottom engine compartment paneling	Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test.	AR61.20-P-1105SX
7	Remove bolts (3a) on left and right on engine oil cooler (3)
8	Pull front bumper in direction of travel and remove engine oil cooler (3) downwards	Do not damage condenser lamella for air conditioning. Aid of helper required.
9	Remove bolts (4a) for left and right engine oil line (4) and remove engine oil lines (4) from engine oil cooler (3)	Catch escaping engine oil in a container. Installation:  replace O-rings.
10	Remove engine oil cooler (3) with air ducting (5)
11	Fold up retaining clamps (5a, 4 pieces) and remove air ducting (5)	When replacing the engine oil cooler (3) or air ducting (5).
12	Install in the reverse order
	Checking
13	Check engine oil level approx. 5 minutes after switching off the warm engine, if required adjust to correct level	The vehicle must be positioned horizontally on the wheels, otherwise false measurements occur.	AR54.30-P-1000-02OPS
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
14	Conduct engine test run and check engine for leaks while it is running
