Retrofit wiring harness for AUX jack - AZ82.60-P-0021-01SX

  1. Release black, 3-pin coupling (3) of wiring harness for AUX jack (1).
  2. Unplug white (ws), brown (br) and transparent (tr) lines from the black, 3-pin coupling (3).

    IMPORTANT The black, 3-pin coupling (3) is no longer needed.

  3. Route wiring harness for AUX jack (1) in the instrument panel as per the picture.
  4. Disconnect black, 22-pin coupling (5) of COMAND control unit (A40/3).

  5. Release lock (see arrow) on side at coupling (5) and pull black, 20-pin contact carrier (6) of on-board wiring harness (4) out of coupling (5).

  6. Insert transparent line (tr) of wiring harness for AUX jack (1) into contact cavity 6 of black, 20-pin contact carrier (6).
  7. Insert brown line (br) of wiring harness for AUX jack (1) into contact cavity 5 of black, 20-pin contact carrier (6).

  8. Insert white line (ws) of wiring harness for AUX jack (1) into contact cavity 15 of black, 20-pin contact carrier (6).

  9. Detach soundproofing material (7) in area of the hole to be drilled (9) from the glove compartment (8).
  10. Drill a hole (9) with a diameter of 18.5 mm in the glove compartment (8) as per the dimensions.

    IMPORTANT The diameter must not be larger than 18.5 mm.

  11. Unclip cage (11) using a narrow flat tip screwdriver (10) from the AUX jack (2).

  12. Install AUX jack (2) in glove compartment (8) and glue on soundproofing material (7).

  13. Counterhold AUX jack (2) from the rear and clip cage (11) onto AUX jack (2).

    IMPORTANT The cage (11) is mechanically coded and can only be installed in one position (tongue and groove).
