1. Wrap insulation tape around the ends of the lines (arrow A) of the iPhone wiring harness (7).

2. Remove cover of right instrument panel fuse box (F1/6).
3. Unscrew bolts (11).
4. Detach cover of right instrument panel fuse box (F1/6) with attached lines and place to one side.

5. Drill hole (arrow B) with a diameter of 7 mm, as shown, on the glove box.

6. Feed iPhone wiring harness through hole (arrow B) and route into front passenger footwell below glove box.
7. Insert black connector (8) into media interface connector (X18/70).

8. Remove insulation tape from ends of lines (arrow A) on iPhone wiring harness (7).
9. Plug iPhone wiring harness (7) into plug insert (6.1).

   Contact cavity assignment: 

   Contact cavity 1 Black

   Contact cavity 2 Transparent

   Contact cavity 3 Yellow

   Contact cavity 4 Blue

   Contact cavity 5 Pink

   Contact cavity 6 Orange

   Contact cavities 7 to 9 Not assigned

   Contact cavity 10 Gray

   Contact cavity 11 Transparent with red marking

   Contact cavity 12 Brown

   Contact cavity 13 Green

   Contact cavity 14 White

   Contact cavity 15 Transparent with blue marking

10. Slide cover (6.2) onto plug insert (6.1) and clip in.
11. Create electrical connection between black 18-pin coupling (5) of iPhone wiring harness (7) and the black 18-pin plug (6) of the iPhone cradle wiring harness (4) and then wrap felt tape around it.
12. Route iPhone cradle wiring harness (4) to stowage compartment in center console.
13. Fix iPhone cradle wiring harness (4) and iPhone wiring harness (7) in place using cable ties.
14. Install right instrument panel fuse box (F1/6) and tighten.
15. Install cover of right instrument panel fuse box (F1/6).

16. Make a cutout (broken line) in the cover (12).
17. Insert cradle (1) into Bluetooth module.

18. Insert cover (12) along with cradle (1) into stowage compartment in center console.
19. Create electrical connection between black coupling (3) and black connector (2).
20. Route iPhone cradle wiring harness of black coupling (3) through the previously made cutout in the cover (12).
21. Create Bluetooth module connector.

    The Bluetooth module connector was detached when unfastening the center console or when removing the cover (12).

22. Route electrical connector between black coupling (3) and black connector (2) into cutout in the cover (12) as made ex-factory.
