Remove/install upper control panel control unit - AR54.21-P-1262RT

MODELS 251

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Notes on avoiding damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge All models AH54.00-P-0001-01A 
1 Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit IMPORTANT On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889:
Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
 
2 Unclip center part of instrument panel (2) using long wedge (1), remove and put down on the center console NOTES Put down on a soft base as the center part of the instrument panel (2) and/or the center console may become damaged.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Insert the center part of the instrument panel (2) first with the two bottom lugs in the clips (3) then fold upwards and clip in.

3 Unlock plug (5) and detach from upper control panel control unit (N72/1)    
4 Unscrew bolts (4), remove AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7), then remove upper control panel control unit (N72/1) NOTES Put the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) on a soft base as the unit and/or center console may become damaged.
IMPORTANT Do not disconnect AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) electrically.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Pay attention to different lengths of bolts.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Insert the upper control panel control unit (N72/1), before the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or comfort AAC control and operating unit (N22/7) is inserted.
 
5 Install in the reverse order
