Remove/install interior compartment prefuse box - AR54.15-P-1350RT

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of injury  caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or metal spatter due to short circuit. Risk of burn injuries  caused by short circuit. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or absorption of lead over the skin or orifices No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Wear acid-resistant gloves and clothing and safety glasses with side guards.
Do not place any conductive objects on the battery and avoid any short circuit from battery positive to ground.
Only fill liquid battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1 Disconnect ground line, expose battery IMPORTANT Refer to: ↓  
Remove/install battery AR54.10-P-0005RT 
2 Undo nut (3), remove clamping device INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Tightening torque is embossed on the battery compartment prefuse box (F33).  
3 Detach plug of maxi fuses (4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Note plug's color coding.
IMPORTANT When replacing the battery compartment prefuse box (F33) change the maxi fuses (4).
 
4 Unclip battery compartment prefuse box (F33) (arrow A) NOTES Carefully unclip battery compartment prefuse box (F33). If the clip is bent too far it may break.  
5 Unlock locking devices (arrows B) using a suitable tool and detach fuse carrier with fuses (2) from battery compartment prefuse box (F33) IMPORTANT The number of fuses may vary depending on the vehicle model and equipment.  
6 Undo nuts (1), detach electrical connections NOTES The electrical connections must be clearly assigned to the corresponding contact of the battery compartment prefuse box (F33) before being detached. Otherwise during installation mixups may occur which could ultimately induce faults in the vehicle electrical system.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Tightening torque is embossed on the battery compartment prefuse box (F33).
IMPORTANT The number of electrical connections may vary depending on the vehicle model and equipment.
 
7 Remove battery compartment prefuse box (F33)    
8 Install in the reverse order    
9 Perform basic programming   AR00.19-P-0200RT
