Remove/install rear bumper - AR88.20-P-2200RT

MODIFICATION NOTES

12.4.10 Disconnect blind spot assist connector Operation step 7  
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove expansion rivets (1) and detach fender liner in area of rear bumper (7). IMPORTANT Do not remove wheels.  
2 Remove bolts (2) from both rear fenders    
3 Remove bolt (3)    
4 Open liftgate    
5 Open paneling (4) in load compartment and remove    
6 Remove bolts (5) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Adjust gap between rear-end door and rear bumper (7) and tighten bolts (5).
IMPORTANT See: ↓
 
Gap dimensions on hoods, doors and lids AR60.00-P-0700-01RT
Gap between rear-end door and bumper "Dimension Z" *BE60.00-P-1005-01S 
SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge Figure
7 Remove grommet (6) from body and disconnect rear bumper PTS connector (X35/28) and/or blind spot assist connector IMPORTANT Vehicles with code (220) Parktronic system. Vehicles with code (234) Blind spot assist.
IMPORTANT Helper required for holding rear bumper (7).
 
8 Remove rear bumper (7) toward rear IMPORTANT Use aid of helper.  
9 Install in the reverse order    
TEST AND ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR GAP DIMENSIONS
