Retrofit screen - AZ82.70-P-0001-12GZ

Model 164 

  1. Remove left blank holder (3) and right blank holder (4) from retaining bracket (5) and place to one side.

  2. Have second mechanic hold retaining bracket (5) on center console (6) (see arrows) and transfer holes to center console (6).

    IMPORTANT Ensure that the locating tools (8) on the retaining bracket (5) are in contact with the center console (6) (see arrows). The bottom edge of the retaining bracket (5) is simultaneously the bottom edge of the center console (6).

    IMPORTANT Do not pinch or damage wiring harness (7) with retaining bracket (5).

  3. Drill holes in center console with dia. 8 mm bit.

    NOTES Do not damage vehicle's own wiring harness (12) when drilling.

    IMPORTANT Use retaining bracket (5) as drilling template.

  4. Fasten retaining bracket (5) with left blank holder (3) and right blank holder (4) to center console (6) with screws (9, 10, 11).

    IMPORTANT Do not yet tighten screws (9, 10, 11).

    IMPORTANT The left blank holder (3) is marked with "LH" and the right blank holder (4) with "RH". The blank holders must be installed so that the designations are legible. The location of the different length screws must  be observed.

  5. Unscrew rear cover (12) from front cover (13).

  6. Move screen (1) against stop in present guides for rear cover (12) and fasten with screw (15).

    IMPORTANT Ensure that one washer (14) is present on the screw (15) (see magnified drawing).

  7. Install ashtray and complete cover on rear center console.
  8. Connect connector (16) and refasten rear cover (12) to front cover (13).

    IMPORTANT Ensure that the rear cover (12) is properly positioned on the front cover (13).

  9. Tighten all retaining bracket screws.
