Remove/install level control valve unit - AR32.31-P-0650GZ

MODEL 164 with CODE (489) Airmatic (air suspension with level adjustment and adaptive damping system ADS)

	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1	Raise vehicle until the wheels are clear of the ground
2	Empty AIRmatic system using STAR DIAGNOSIS	STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnostic system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
3	Remove AIRmatic compressor unit		AR32.22-P-2001GZ
4	Remove bolts (1) and detach AIRmatic valve unit (Y36)
5	Remove bolts (2) and detach compressor unit bracket
6	Separate electrical plug connection (3)
7	Remove plug from AIRmatic pressure sensor
8	Disconnect connector from AIRmatic valve unit (Y36)
9	Unscrew pressure line connection (4)	To ensure flawless performance from the suspension observe the routing of the pressure lines. Seal off pressure lines with blind plugs for the duration of the repair work. If pressure line connections or pressure lines are damaged: ↓

10	Remove AIRmatic valve unit (Y36)
11	Install in the reverse order
12	Fill AIRmatic system using STAR DIAGNOSIS	The wheels must not make contact with the floor when filling as the air spring bellows in the suspension strut will be irreparably damaged if the system is filled with the suspension compressed.
		STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnostic system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
13	Check AIRmatic for leaks.		AR32.22-P-8100GZ
