Remove/install filler neck of fuel tank - AR47.10-P-7541GZ

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the vehicle lift Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.		 AS47.00-Z-0001-01A 
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts All models AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1 Remove tank recess   AR88.60-P-2000GZ
2 Remove seal boot (1) by pushing it off its mount INSPECT Check seal boot (1) for signs of damage and replace if required.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure seal boot (1) is correctly seated.		  
3 Raise vehicle using two-post lift IMPORTANT Raise half way. AR00.60-P-1000GZ
       
4 Remove right rear wheel    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary   AP40.10-P-4050Z
5 Remove right fender liner from rear fender   AR88.10-P-1400GZ
6 Unclip vent line to activated charcoal filter (3) from retaining clip (4)    
7 Disconnect connection piece for vent line to activated charcoal filter (5) IMPORTANT Press connection together at the press points and detach.  
8 Unscrew nuts (6)    
9 Unscrew nut for ground line (7) and detach ground line from body    
10 Unscrew nut (8) and detach vent line (9) from body    
11 Unscrew nut (10) and detach filler neck (2) from body    
12 Raise vehicle using two-post lift IMPORTANT Raise vehicle to full height. AR00.60-P-1000GZ
       
13 Detach exhaust system located behind fuel tank (17) Model 164.8 AR49.10-P-7280GZB 
14 Unbolt propeller shaft at rear axle differential Model 164.8 AR41.10-P-0050GZ
15 Unscrew heat shield from fuel tank (17) Model 164.8.  
16 Unscrew nut (11) and detach vent line (9) from body IMPORTANT On model 164.8, unscrew two nuts (11).  
17 Disconnect connection piece for vent line (12) IMPORTANT Press connection together at the press points and detach.  
18 Unscrew nuts (13)    
19 Remove bolts (14) and remove trim (15)    
20 Release clip (16) and detach filler neck (2) from fuel tank (17)    
21 Lower vehicle on two-post lift IMPORTANT Raise half way. AR00.60-P-1000GZ
    Two-post lift, refer to GOTIS http://gotis.aftersales.daimlerchrysler.com   
22 Lower filler neck (2) down and take it out of wheel well top first IMPORTANTInstallation:  Center top of filler neck (2) in the opening.  
23 Install in the reverse order
