| 1 | Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit | On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m). | |
| 2 | Pry trim strip (1) off door lining (9) | Mounting wedge | Fig 2 |
| 3 | Unclip mirror triangle cover (2) | Unclip the mirror triangle cover (2) at the top (arrow). | |

| 4 | Disconnect electrical connector (3) from left front door tweeter (H4/33) | ||
| 5 | Remove screws (4) | ||
| 6 | Press both central locking buttons simultaneously; remove central locking switch (6) from door lining (9) | Pull the tab visible between the central locking buttons. Do not disconnect the electrical connector (7) from the central locking switch (6). | |
| 7 | Remove screw (8) | ||
| 8 | Pry off door lining (9) | Unclip the clips at the bottom and side of the door lining in order to prevent the clip holder from breaking off. Installation: Replace damaged clips. |

| 9 | Lift door lining (9) upwards and inwards | In order to provide access to the Bowden cable (10). | |
| 10 | Detach Bowden cable (10) from inside of door opener | ||
| 11 | Separate electrical connectors (11) | Handle the ribbon cable with care to prevent damage. | |

| 13 | Install in the reverse order |
