	Remove, Install
	Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

2	Connect quiescent current retention device		AR54.10-P-1030-07I

3	Disconnect ground cable of battery		AR54.10-P-0003G
4	Remove floor covering at right front
5	Remove SAM control module with right front fuse and relay box	Installation:  Ensure the cables are correctly routed otherwise this may cause problems when installing. Do not unplug connectors.	AR54.21-P-1261GM
6	Unscrew nut (1)
7	Unscrew screws (2)
8	Unscrew nuts (3).
9	Unplug connectors (5, 6, 7)
10	Unlock and unplug connectors (8, 9, 10)
11	Remove CDI control module (N39/2)	Installation:  Ensure the cables are correctly routed otherwise this may cause problems when installing. Pull down and out of the instrument panel.
12	Unscrew bolts (11)
13	Remove CDI control module (N39/2) from bracket (4)
14	Install in the reverse order
15.1	Deactivate the service mode in the TELE AID emergency call system	Only for code ET2: TELE AID - car telephone emergency call system.	AR82.95-P-0005-03GR
16	Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase	STAR DIAGNOSIS Stored faults which can be due to disconnected cables or a simulation during assembly or test work, must be worked on in the fault memories at the end of the work and erased.
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A *WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
