Remove/install antenna amplifier module - AR82.62-P-8300GR

MODEL 463.243 /244 /245 /247 /248 /250 /254 /270 /271 /303 /309 /322 /323 /332 /333 /340 /341 with CODE (ET4) COMAND operating and display system with CODE (EM9) TV tuner 

MODEL 463.222 /236 /237 /340 /341 with CODE (EU1) COMAND APS with CODE (EM8) TV tuner as of model year 2010 

MODEL 463.336 /346 with CODE (EU1) COMAND APS with CODE (EM8) TV tuner

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
1 Activate Service mode in Tele-Aid emergency call system IMPORTANT Only on model 463.243/244/245/247/248/ 250/254/270/309/322/323/332/333 with code ET2 Tele-Aid car phone emergency call system AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
2 Disconnect battery ground line All models except model 463.248 with special protection version code 979 AR54.10-P-0003G
    Model 463.248 with:
Code 979 Special protection version
Code ZS6 Special protection version FB6
Code ZS7 Special protection version FB7
Code E26 100 Ah additional battery incl. cutoff relay		 AR54.10-P-0003PM
NOTES Notes on battery All models AH54.10-P-0001-01A
3 Remove luggage compartment cover with draft stop (A) Model 463.250/254/303/309
IMPORTANT 3 draw buttons per side.		  
4 Remove draft stop mounting bracket (B) from quarter panel Model 463.250/254/303/309
IMPORTANT Only remove on the left side.		  
5 Remove stowage box Model 463.244/247/322/332/336/340 with code V53 Stowage box and luggage compartment covering AR68.72-P-0010GK
    Model 463.248 with:
Code 979 Special protection version
Code ZS6 Special protection version FB6
Code ZS7 Special protection version FB7
Code E26 100 Ah additional battery incl. cutoff relay
IMPORTANT Only remove on the left side.		 AR68.72-P-0010PM
6 Remove plastic frame from CD changer (1) IMPORTANT Only with code EP5 CD changer.  
7 Detach floor covering (2) from wheel well IMPORTANT For this purpose slightly lift side wall paneling in rear area.  
8 Remove cover panel (3) IMPORTANT Remove bolts (4).  
9 Separate antenna module supply connector (X1/22)    
10 Remove antenna amplifier module (5)    
11 Install in the reverse order    
12 Deactivate service mode in TELEAID emergency call system IMPORTANT Only on model 463.243/244/245/247/248/ 250/254/270/309/322/323/332/333 with code ET2 Tele-Aid car phone emergency call system AR82.95-P-0005-03GR

13 Read out fault memory and erase IMPORTANT After work is complete, faults stored in the fault memory must be processed and erased.
The stored faults may be caused by removed cables during installation or test operations as well as by simulation.
