Remove/install liftgate - AR72.20-P-1020GR

	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.	AS00.00-Z-0017-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Pivot spare tire carrier to side
2	Open liftgate (2)
3	Fold cover panel (5) upward
4	Remove stowage compartment (6)	Remove expansion clips.
5	Disconnect coupling from CL motor connector (M14/7x1)
6	Remove CL motor terminals (7) from this coupling	Use steel wire or narrow screwdriver.
7	Disconnect connector from liftgate contact switch connector	On left in liftgate.
8	Remove contact switch terminal (8) from liftgate contact switch connector (9)	Remove plastic cap (10) and unlock terminal. Use steel wire or narrow screwdriver.
9	Pull out both wiring harnesses (11) from liftgate (2)	Installation:  Lubricate sleeve on cable set (11) with soapy water.
10	Close cover plate (5)
11	Remove liftgate mount (1) on left and right	Installation:  Use new retaining screw.
12	Close liftgate	Do not pinch wiring harnesses (11).
13	Remove left and right hinge screws (3)
14	Open liftgate and remove	Have a second person assist you.
15	Install in the reverse order
16	Perform function test
17	Adjust liftgate following installation		AR72.20-P-1020-01G
