Location 

The front SAM is located on the right next to the air conditioning box.

Task 

The front SAM is connected for exchanging data over the interior CAN (CAN-B).

Limit switches supply systems and control units with voltage to match the function sequence. Requests are notified to the front SAM control unit over the interior CAN or by the switch and sensor signals.

The individual components are protected via fuses contained in the fuse and relay block.
