	Remove/install

1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000T
2	Remove trim panels of cylinder head cover		AR01.20-P-5014-02C
		Bolt, cylinder head cover trim panel to cylinder head	*BA01.20-P-1002-01G
		Bolt, trim panel to charge air distribution pipe	*BA01.20-P-1003-01G
3	Remove left exhaust gas recirculation positioner (Y27/9)		AR14.20-P-7662T
4	Remove angled piece (4)	Installation: USA version code 494a: secure ground line.

5	Remove screws (5)		*BA14.20-P-1008-01C
6	Pull exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) out of the mixing chamber (6)	Do not detach coolant hoses (1, 2) from exhaust gas recirculation cooler. Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket and sealing ring.
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the and position the four support plates below the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
7	Raise vehicle with lifting platform
8	Remove bottom section of soundproofing capsule		AR94.30-P-5300T
9	Remove bracket (8)	Bolt, engine mount to crankcase	*BA22.10-P-1005-01D
		Bolt, support to mixing chamber	*BA09.41-P-1015-01A
10	Dismount charge air hose (10) from charge air pipe downstream of charge air cooler (7)	Check charge air hose and sealing ring for damage, replace if required.
11	Remove screws (11)	Bolt, charge air pipe to mixing chamber	*BA09.41-P-1019-01A
		Bolt, charge air pipe to engine block	*BA09.41-P-1020-01A
12	Pull charge air pipe downstream of charge air cooler (7) out of the mixing chamber (6)	The charge air pipe remains in the vehicle. Installation: Replace sealing ring.
13	Disconnect electrical connector at pressure sensor (B28)
14	Unscrew mixing chamber (6) bolts at charge air distribution pipe		*BA09.41-P-1011-01A
15	Take out mixing chamber (6)	Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket (9).
16	Install in the reverse order
