Clean wheels if necessary. |
Dirt on the tire or disk wheel causes incorrect measurement results when balancing. It is therefore essential to remove all dirt before balancing. |

Check wheels for radial runout |
The radial runout at the wheel must be no more than max. 1.0 mm. On steel disk wheels, a more favorable position of disk wheel relative to the tire can, if necessary, be achieved by turning the tire. However, this should only be done if it is certain that there are no flats caused by parking or braking. |

Fasten wheels to stationary balancing machine and balance them |
Use only approved balancing machines and follow the operating instructions from the manufacturer.
The residual imbalance on each side of the wheel may not exceed 10 grams. |

Close vehicle doors, hood and trunk lid |
|

Do not insert your hand into rotating parts. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Secure area of rotating vehicle components against unauthorized access. |

Balance wheels with dynamic balancing machine on vehicle |
Use only approved balancing machines and follow the operating instructions from the manufacturer.
- Wheels may only be finish-balanced on the vehicle after they have been statically balanced.
- Balance steel disk wheels with
hubcaps.
- Drive the rear wheels with the engine only otherwise the rear axle center assembly will be damaged.
