MODIFICATION NOTES

25.11.08	Road test procedure with STAR DIAGNOSIS restricted (after replacing sensor)	Step 15
	Perform initialization of DTR control unit after replacing sensor, added	Step 16

	Remove/install
1	Move the front passenger seat backrest into the upright position
2	Move the front passenger seat into the foremost position
3	Remove the rear bolts on the guide rails of the front passenger seat	Installation: Replace bolts and align guide rails.

4	Unclip and remove vent grille (6) from floor covering (7) in the rear
5	Move the front passenger seat into the rearmost position
6	Remove the front bolts on the guide rails of the front passenger seat	Installation: Replace bolts and align guide rails.

7	Check whether the ignition is switched off
8	Tilt front passenger seat backwards	Ensure that the guide rails do not damage the floor covering.
9	Secure the front passenger seat	So that the front passenger seat cannot tilt forwards.
10	Lift floor covering (7) under the front passenger seat	Do not damage the floor covering when lifting The sensor (B24/15) can be reached via the cutout in the vent grille (6).
11	Disconnect the electrical connector (10) on the sensor (B24/15)
12	Unscrew nuts (9) of sensor (B24/15)
13	Remove sensor (B24/15) under the floor covering	Handle sensor (B24/15) with care. It is sensitive to shocks.
14	Install in the reverse order
15	Carry out road test as per STAR DIAGNOSIS	After replacing the sensor (B24/15)
16	Perform initialization of DTR control unit with STAR DIAGNOSIS	After replacing sensor (B24/15) on vehicles with code (219) Distronic (DTR)
