Install amplifier - AZ82.62-P-0002-01T

Model 211.0, 219.3 

1. Introduce cutout (16) for upper attachment point of AMG amplifier unit bracket (2) in right trunk side paneling (3).

   To do so, use provided template.

2. Insert right trunk side paneling (3) in trunk.

   Do not install right trunk side paneling (3) yet.

3. Place AMG amplifier unit (1) in trunk and uncoil preassembled wiring harness.

   The AMG amplifier unit (1) is installed to the right in the trunk.

4. Route signal connecting cable (7).

   Signal connecting cable (7) is routed below rear center section panel along standard wiring harness to audio gateway (AGW) (up to code (808) Model year 2008) or amplifier for sound system (as of code (809) Model year 2009) and fixed in place with adhesive pads (included in package contents).

5. Connect signal connecting cable (7).

   Up to code (808) Model year 2008 NTG 1; vehicle's own connectors are removed from AGW and inserted in jacks of signal connecting cable (7). Connectors of signal connecting cable (7) are then connected to AGW.

   As of code (809) Model year 2009 NTG 2.5; vehicle's own connectors are removed from amplifier for sound system (N40/3) and inserted in adapter box (20) of signal connecting cable (7). Connectors (19) of signal connecting cable (7) are then connected to amplifier for sound system (N40/3).

   The connectors are coded and cannot be swapped.

6. Install adapter box (20).

   Fasten adapter box (20) to cross strut with cable ties and check unrestricted travel of trunk lid.

7. Connect branch-off line (13) of signal connecting cable (7) to connector of subwoofer booster amplifier.

   Disconnect and remove subwoofer booster amplifier (part is no longer required). Connect connector plug for subwoofer booster amplifier to branch-off line (13) of signal connecting cable (7).

8. Route voltage connecting cable (8) from installation location of AMG amplifier unit (1) to battery.

   The voltage connecting cable (8) is routed below the right trunk side paneling and fixed in place with adhesive pads (included in package contents).

9. Fuse holder (9) of voltage connecting cable (8) is fixed in place with a cable tie (10) (included in package contents) at battery wiring harness.

1. 6 Connect voltage connecting cable (8) to terminals.

   Connect brown line to terminal of negative terminal and red line to terminal of positive terminal.

2. 9 Install right trunk side paneling (3).
3. 10 Install AMG amplifier unit bracket (2) in trunk.

AMG amplifier unit bracket (2) is screwed onto strut (4) (with code (489) Airmatic (semi-active air suspension) present or retrofitted).

Helix points at vehicle floor are the same as standard (screws/bolts included in package contents).
