Grease contact surfaces of brake pad backing plate - AR42.10-P-0161-02T

Identification of floating caliper brake 

IMPORTANT The contact surfaces of brake pad backplates on Bosch floating caliper brakes with color coding (arrow) must be greased.

Brake caliper carrier 

  1. Remove brake pad springs, clean contact surfaces and apply a thin and even coating of repair product to cross-hatched areas.

    Inner brake pads 

  2. Clean contact surfaces and apply a thin and even coating of repair product to the cross-hatch patterns.

    NOTES In order to prevent noise, the contact surfaces to the brake piston and piston insert plate must not be greased.

    Outer brake pads 

  3. Clean contact surfaces and apply a thin and even coating of repair product to the cross-hatch patterns.

    Floating caliper: 

  4. Clean contact surfaces of outer brake pads and apply a thin and even coating of repair product to cross-hatched areas.
