	Remove/install

1.1	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and stage basic data from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) in STAR DIAGNOSIS	Only when installing new rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2). Installation:  Transfer staged basic data to new rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

2	Remove left side inner paneling of load compartment (1)		AR68.30-P-1180T
3	Remove hazard warning triangle
4.1	Unscrew bolt (6), remove equipment carrier (7) and place to one side	Only on vehicles with code (220) Parktronic system (PTS) or with code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio or with code (860) TV tuner or with code (889) Keyless Go
5	Remove wiring harness (8) from bracket (9) and place to one side
6	Unscrew nuts (10) and bolt (11)
7	Unplug electrical connectors from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and remove rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) from load compartment	The electrical connector leading to circuit 30 must be the first to be disconnected and the last to be contacted. Number of electrical connectors depends on equipment.
8.1	Check fuse and relay assignment at the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)	Only when replacing the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
