	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Open engine hood		AR88.40-P-1000TX
2	Remove front engine cover	Removal:  Detach the front engine cover on both sides on the air filter housing (1) and on the bracket upwards.
3	Remove right and left engine intake air duct
4	Remove air filter housing (1).	Removal:  When removing the air filter housing (1) ensure that the intake line (4) is not twisted since improper removal of the air filter housing (1) can deform the steel ring in the intake line (4) and this can loosen while the engine is running. Removal:  Carefully raise air filter housing (1) and detach crankcase ventilation hose (2) at fitting (3) of intake line (4). Ensure that the catch (5) on the intake line (4) does not break off when bottoming on the throttle valve actuator since the broken off catch (5) can be sucked in by the engine and cause engine damage. Moisten the sealing ring, throttle valve actuator and rubber retainers with antifriction agent.	AR09.10-P-1150TZ

5	Loosen hose clamps (6) at the top of charge air distributor (110/6)
6	Remove bolt (110/8) at the top of charge air distributor (110/6)	Note the different lengths of bolts. Cover over openings with a fluffy rag.
		Bolt for charge air distributor top section to charge air distributor bottom section	*BA09.41-P-1001-01C
7	Lift off top air distributor (110/6) on left and right	Use new seals (110/7).
8	Install in the reverse order
