Adjust tilting/sliding roof panel - AR77.20-P-1100TX

MODEL 219.3 with CODE (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Completely open sliding roof lining (1)    
2 Open titling/sliding roof cover (3) approx. 20 cm.    
3 Unclip covering (2) in center and side with assembly wedge, guide cover (2) out of rubber bellows (4) and remove SPECIAL TOOL Figure
4 Completely close titling/sliding roof cover (3) and then move to tilt position    
5 Remove rubber bellows (4) on left and right from tilting/sliding roof panel (3) NOTES Carefully remove rubber bellows (4) at top and bottom to prevent damage.
IMPORTANT Observe installation position of rubber bellows (4).
 
6 Close tilting/sliding roof panel (3)    
  Adjust     
7 Loosen bolts (5) on left and right on tilting/sliding roof panel (3)    
8 Insert cardboard strips (6) at rear into expansion joint for tilting/sliding roof panel (3) IMPORTANT Cardboard strip (6) must be 500 mm long and approx.
1 to 2 mm thick.
 
9 Adjust tilting/sliding roof panel (3) in relation to exterior roof surface IMPORTANT Observe measuring position (A) for height adjustment

10 Tighten left and right bolts (5) on tilting/sliding roof panel (3) IMPORTANT Tighten bolts (5) from rear to front.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA77.20-P-1004-01F 
11 Check tilting/sliding roof for proper function and correct tilting/sliding roof panel (3) match.    
SPECIAL TOOL Install     
12 Move tilting/sliding roof cover (3) into tilt position    
13 Install rubber bellows (4) on left and right on tilting/sliding roof panel (3) IMPORTANT Insert both rubber bellows (4) at top and bottom into guides Pay attention to installation position.  
14 Close tilting/sliding roof panel (3)    
15 Open titling/sliding roof cover (3) approx. 20 cm.    
16 Position cover (2) in center and clip in IMPORTANT Catch hook on cover (2) must arrest in center in both rubber bellows (4).  
17 Close tilting/sliding roof panel (3)    
18 Close sliding roof lining (1).    
19 Perform learn-in procedure for tilting/sliding roof pinch protection    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
