82 345 73 Faulty communication between restraint systems control unit (N2/7) and front passenger seat occupied and child seat recognition sensor (B48).
Fault code 90A6 can occur during system selftest.		 IMPORTANT Do not remove/install/replace any parts. If further fault codes are stored, first process these faults and then recode the restraint systems control unit.  
  Seat occupied recognition mats with the following part number are affected:
  • A 203 870 37 10
  • A 203 870 38 10
  • A 203 870 39 10
 IMPORTANT As of DAS DVD 08/2005, the software has been revised and the restraint systems control unit detects the installed seat occupied recognition mat.
  1. Flash restraint systems control unit (N2/7) with DAS DVD as of 08/2005, to do so:
  
  The part number of the seat occupied recognition mat cannot be read out via DAS. If necessary, the part number can be determined in the FDOK system under Service and Development Data.
  • Connect DAS.
  • Call up "Airbag control unit"
  • Select "Control unit adaptations"
  • Select "Read code and change if applicable".
  • Start "Seat mat component test" and follow instructions in DAS.
