Remove/install coolant level switch - AR20.30-P-4392SXI

ENGINES 157, 272, 273, 275, 276, 278, 642, 629 in MODEL 221 

ENGINES 157, 275, 278 in MODEL 216

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

1 Switch off ignition    
2 Slowly open cap (1) on expansion reservoir (2) and remove IMPORTANT The coolant temperature should be approx. 40°C.  
3 Clamp off coolant hose (3) using pinch-off pliers Pinch-off pliers for hoses up to a dia. of 60 mm  
4 Suction coolant out of expansion reservoir (2) SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump *210589007100
5 Disconnect electrical connector (4)    
6 Release locks (5a) and lift out coolant lines (5) from expansion reservoir (2) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Install new O-rings (5b).  
7 Unscrew nut (6) and lift expansion reservoir (2)    
8 Remove coolant hose (3) on expansion reservoir (2) SPECIAL TOOL Hose clamp pliers *003589033700
9 Remove expansion reservoir (2) IMPORTANT The coolant level switch is integrated in expansion reservoir (2) and cannot be replaced as a separate item.  
10 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Checking     
11 Check coolant level and correct if necessary

12 Inspect cooling system for leaks Engine 629 AR20.00-P-1010SXD
Engine 157, 272, 273, 275, 276, 278, 642 AR20.00-P-1010SX 
Engine 275 with low temperature circuit AR20.00-P-1010HN 
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

13 Conduct engine test run and check engine for leaks
