The input factors are read in with the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN

The following sensors are read in via a direct line:
- Rear roller sun blind Hall sensor 1 (M54/1b1)
- Rear roller sun blind Hall sensor 2 (M54/1b2)
- Front roller sun blind Hall sensor 1 (M54b1)
- Front roller sun blind Hall sensor 2 (M54b2)
Interior CAN
The following signals and sensors are read in via interior CAN:
By the overhead control panel control unit (N70):
- Roof system switch (N70s1)
- Rear roller sun blind switch (N70s10)
- Rain/light sensor (/)B38/2
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:

- Rear roller sun blind motor (M54/1)
- Integrated panoramic sliding roof motor (A98m1)
- Front roller sun blind motor (M54)
