The messages from the tire pressure loss warning (RDW) system are shown in the multifunction display in the instrument cluster.

A distinction is made between warning messages and information messages.

Messages in the multifunction display have the following properties:

acknowledgeable
not acknowledgeable

Information message shown on model 221 up to 31.8.06

The TPM system is only available as of "terminal 15 ON".

This display appears if the tire pressure loss warning system is to be reactivated.

Once the tire pressures have been checked the confirmation for the tire pressure loss warning system is made with this display

If this confirmation does not ensue the tire pressure loss warning system is not active.

This display appears as confirmation that the tire pressure loss warning system is active.

Warning message (while driving) shown on model 221 up to 31.8.06

The tire pressure loss warning system has determined that the rolling circumferences of the wheels have changed relative to each other. Checking the wheels is necessary.

The message can be acknowledged.

The tire pressure loss warning system has not yet been restarted since the last warning message.

The system can only be activated in the workshop via STAR DIAGNOSIS.

With this display it is not possible for the driver to acknowledge the message.
