Location
The fuel metering pump is installed at the right rear in the vicinity of the fuel tank on the vehicle floor.
Task
The fuel metering pump is a combined supply, metering and shutoff system.
It supplies the fuel required for combustion from the vehicle's fuel tank to the STH or HB heater unit (A6) on model 221 or to the STH heater unit (A6) on model 216 and shuts off the feed line when the heater unit is deactivated.
Actuation on model 221 is conducted by the STH or HB control unit (A6n1) or on model 216 by the STH control unit (A6n1).
