Heating system heat exchanger, component description - GF83.20-P-3123SX

Location 

The heater heat exchanger is located in the air conditioner housing underneath the instrument panel.

Task 

The heater heat exchanger warms the air flow which is directed to the vehicle interior via the various air distribution vents.

Function 

Coolant heated by the engine flows through the heating system heat exchanger when heat output is requested.

The feed is regulated by the AC water valve (Y19/2).

The heat is dissipated via the coiled pipes and lamellae made of aluminum towards the outside to the air blowing by, which is heated up in the process and then routed into the vehicle interior.
