Location
The evaporator temperature sensor is located on the left side of the air conditioner housing.
Task
The evaporator temperature sensor measures the temperature of the air flowing past the evaporator. The measured value is read in directly by the AAC [KLA] control unit (N22/1).
Function
The evaporator temperature sensor is a temperature-dependent resistor. The values sent to the AAC [KLA] control unit are used for specific regulation of the refrigerant compressor (A9) which in turn prevents the evaporator from icing up.
