Functions/components for national version

• CHECK ENGINE indicator lamp (A1e26)
• Fuel system open warning (fuel tank cap indicator)
• Purge system with leak test.

  Additional components:

  • Fuel tank pressure sensor (B4/3)
  • Activated charcoal canister shutoff valve (Y58/4)
• Vent line to activated charcoal canister without vent valve and with large diameter, model 171.
• During refueling the fuel vapors are collected at the filler neck and passed to the activated charcoal filter (ORVR = Onboard Refueling Vapor Recovery).
• The activated charcoal canister is enlarged.
• The pulse switchover valve is designed for a larger flow volume (color coding).
• From MY 2005 a PremAir sensor (B11/15) can be installed on the radiator in model 211. It has the task of recognizing a coated PremAir radiator. This catalytically converts ozone into oxygen and therefore needs controlling. The engine control unit recognizes the PremAir sensor via a local interconnect network interface and checks the plausibility of the detected temperature pattern.

  If a PremAir radiator is replaced by an uncoated radiator then an error is detected and the "CHECK ENGINE" indicator lamp actuated.

• Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV), engine 272.920/940 as standard from 1.6.06 

  Flexible-fuel vehicle vehicles can be filled up premium fuel or ethanol (proportion of ethanol: 85 %). This creates mixtures in the fuel tank with an ethanol concentration of 0 to 85%. The proportion of ethanol is taught in at every filling of the tank and the mixture formation is adjusted accordingly.
