Notes on installing brake hoses - AH42.10-P-9406-01A

Model 129, 140, 166, 170, 171, 172, 197, 202, 203, 204, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211, 212, 215, 216, 218, 219, 220, 221, 230, 240, 636, 638, 639

IMPORTANT Only install brake hoses which are approved by Mercedes-Benz (51).

When connecting brake hoses (51) ensure that the brake hose (51) is not assembled twisted (free of twists). An adequate distance from other axle components must be guaranteed in all driving situations.

IMPORTANT Model 129, 140:

A locking plate with bi-hexagon or multipoint profile (60) is attached to the bracket (52). Insert brake hose (51) in the retainer plate (60) so that it does not chafe on vehicle parts on full left and right steering angle and at full bump and rebound travel.
