		The oil filler screw and oil drain screw must always be replaced with new screws after removal. Clean new oil filler and drain screws as well as the tapped holes with a special cleaning agent and apply special sealing compound.
	Always replace oil filler screw after unscrewing rear axle center assembly. The new oil filler screw as well as the tapped hole must be cleaned with a special cleaning spray and a special sealing compound must be applied to the oil filler screw.	Only carry out the oil level check at room temperature.	AR35.31-P-0520-03I

	Remove/Install
	Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

1	Lift/jack up vehicle		AR00.60-P-1000P
2	Remove exhaust shielding plate (105c).
3	Unscrew bolts at propeller shaft intermediate bearing (106a).	Bolt, propeller shaft intermediate bearing to frame floor	*BA41.40-P-1001-01A
4	Detach rear propeller shaft (106) from rear axle center assembly (50).	The flexible coupling remains on the propeller shaft.	AR41.10-P-0050-03EF
		Installation:  Connect rear propeller shaft to rear axle center assembly.	AR41.10-P-0050-04EF
		Self-locking nut, flexible coupling to rear axle center assembly	*BA41.10-P-1002-01A
5	Slacken flexible coupling fitting sleeves on flange.		AR41.10-P-0050-09DF
	Drift for loosening fitting sleeves in flexible couplings.		WF58.50-P-4110-01A
6	Remove rear axle shaft (37) on left and right		AR35.30-P-0620PF
7	Support rear axle center assembly.	Secure against falling.

8	Remove bolts of rear center assembly mounting (50a).	Self-locking bolt, rear axle center assembly at rear to rear axle carrier	*BA35.10-P-1004-01A
9	Unscrew bolt of front center assembly mounting (53).	Installation:  Attach front center assembly mounting.	AR35.10-P-0050-01AF
		Self-locking nut, rear axle center assembly at front to rear axle carrier	*BA35.10-P-1003-01A
10	Drain rear axle center assembly.	On vehicles with plugged in rear axle shaft in the rear axle center assembly: ↓ In the process detach rear axle center assembly to the right from the left rear axle shaft. Ensure that no rear axle oil runs out when removing: ↓
		Extract rear axle shaft from rear axle center assembly, press in	AR35.30-P-0620-02PF
11	Install in the reverse order
12	Install new breather	Tightening torque for screw-on breather.	*BA35.31-P-1003-02B
13	Check oil level in rear axle center assembly and correct if necessary	Mixing of old universal hypoid gear oil and the new FE hypoid gear oil should be avoided due to the better fuel economy.	AR35.31-P-0520-03I
