Damage code	Cause	Remedy
	The control module for the vacuum pump does not acknowledge the reception of the CAN message stop lamp switch.	1 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS to the vehicle.
		The software version of the diagnostic system must be > 08/00.
	Following engine hot start, the ESP/BAS, ABS and wear warning displays flash or are permanently illuminated.	2 Read out the software version of the control module for the electrical vacuum pump.
	The transmission goes to electrical limp-home mode (max. 2nd gear and hard switch-on procedure in "D" and "R").	The software version must be > 40/99.
		During the read-out procedure, a new software version is automatically loaded into the control module.
		The control module must not be replaced.
	The following fault codes may be stored: ESP control module: C1020, C1022, C1024 Control module for electric vacuum pump: C1025, C1035 ETC control module: 134 ESM control module: P1875, P1876	3 Disconnect STAR DIAGNOSIS from vehicle.
