Electronic steering detent mechanism (ELV) removal and installation - AR46.10-P-0910P

MODIFICATION NOTES

16.5.06 "Disconnect/connect ground line on battery" removed    
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
1 Turn ignition key to position "1". IMPORTANT The fastening bolt (37m) can only be removed if the electric steering lock control unit (N26/5) is unlocked.  
2 Remove left cover under the instrument panel Model 211 AR68.10-P-1500T
    Model 203, 209 AR68.10-P-1500P
3 Turn the attachment pin (37m) to the recess and remove. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 203 *BA46.10-P-1003-03F 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 209 *BA46.10-P-1003-03M 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 211 *BA46.10-P-1003-03K 
4 Guide electric steering lock control unit (N26/5) backwards out of jacket tube (71) IMPORTANTInstallation:  Move electric steering lock control unit (N26/5) with surface (arrow) forwards into the jacket tube (71).  
5 Unplug electrical connector (37p) at electric steering lock control unit (N26/5).    
6 Install in the reverse order
