The recirculated air flap actuator is positioned at the top part of the air cleaner to control the charge pressure. The recirculated air flap can be operated steplessly between 0 - 90°. This makes it possible to control the charge pressure downstream of the supercharger by means of the recirculated air line. At full throttle, the flap is always closed (maximum charge pressure).
The charge pressure is determined indirectly from the following variables:
- Engine speed
- Air mass
- Accelerator pedal position
