- Mark separation point on rear fender with aid templates (arrows).
- Cut (area A-B) with body saw.
Do not damage C-pillar and longitudinal member beneath.
- Expose spot welds and cut out (areas C-H).
- Heat rear fender in cross-hatched areas with hot air gun.
Cross-hatched areas are foam-protected.
- Remove deformed rear fender.
- Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides (checked areas). Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal (areas I-J).
- Cut rear fender to size in area of upper C-pillar with body saw and crimp toward inside with sheet metal sheet metal crimping pliers (arrows).
