Install rear fender - AR63.50-P-1400-04P

TEST VALUES FOR GAP DIMENSIONS ON HOODS, DOORS AND LIDS

  1. Install and fit rear fender.
  2. Insert rear lamp, install rubber seal and locking eye.
  3. Check and adjust gaps between rear fender/rear door and rear fender/trunk lid.

    IMPORTANT Use feeler gauge.

  4. Rear fender POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD .
  5. In areas A SHIELDED GAS STITCH WELD .

    A and B In area D SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD .

    Area POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD .

  6. Drill Ø 6 mm holes on outer longitudinal member (area C).
  7. Rivet outer side wall and outer longitudinal member using steel/steel flat head rivets, Ø 6 x 14 mm (area C).

    IMPORTANT Take breaks while welding in area A to allow the metal to cool down for minimum heat distortion.

  8. Readjust spot weld flange on wheel well with crimping iron.
  9. Spot weld flange on wheel arch panel POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD .
  10. Clean weld joints using wire brush.
  11. Fill rear fender with body solder in crosshatched area and smooth.
