Check brake master cylinder for leaks at rear of thrust rod piston. |

Detach diaphragm travel sensor connector (A7/7x1) from BAS diaphragm travel sensor (A7/7b1) |

Detach connector from BAS release switch (A7/7s1) |

Disconnect vacuum line (8) from brake booster (16) |
Operate brake pedal several times until vacuum in brake booster is reduced |

Pull out CDI control unit (N3/9) and put to one side |

Do not detach any connectors. |

Unlock and pull out rail (2) on module box |

Remove mechanical stop lamp switch |

Detach locking device (25) on brake booster to brake pedal |

Take out bolt (26) |

Unscrew fixing nuts (23) of brake booster |

Remove brake booster (16) |
Do not damage rubber boot when removing and installing the brake booster.
Installation:
Replace gasket (21) if necessary. |
