Install telephone wiring harness in headliner - AR68.30-P-4305-09PA

Illustrated on vehicle with installed rear dome lamp PTS warning display with code (220a) Parktronic system (PTS) and with code (414a) glass electric sliding roof and code (543) sun visors with illuminated mirror and code (882b) interior protection system (only with ATA)

1. Lay new headliner (1) down on suitable clean subsurface.
2. Shim new headliner (1) with suitable clean spacers, e.g. foam rubber or Styrofoam pads.

   Do not use any hard or sharp-edge objects, otherwise the cover of the new headliner (1) can be damaged

   The foam rubber and Styrofoam pads prevent the new headliner (1) from sagging when performing the following steps.

3. Route new wiring harness telephone (2) starting a front right corner of overhead control panel control module opening.

   The old headliner (1) serves as a guide for routing the wiring harness.

4. Attach new telephone wiring harness (2) to new headliner (1) with approx. 10 cm long strips of adhesive tape crossways to telephone wiring harness (2) at intervals of approx. 10 cm.

   Press strips of adhesive tape on sufficiently, otherwise a short circuit can result from chafing of the telephone wiring harness (2) on the roof paneling.
