Interlinkage of components with convenience opening/closing via infrared signal 

Function requirements:

• Voltage not too high or too low.
• All doors closed (status: unlocked)
• The ignition key is removed "C. 15C OFF".
• "Unlock" button of remote control key (A8/1) is pressed for longer than 1 s and is held.

Function 

The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives the request for convenience opening over passenger compartment CAN bus (CAN-B) and then actuates the roof system switch (M12m1) an. The roof system motor (M12m1) is actuated in the turning direction "Open sliding roof" as long as the "Unlock" button on the remote control key (A8/1) is pressed.

The convenience opening function of the sliding/pop-up roof is interrupted when the request is no longer received via the passenger compartment CAN bus (CAN-B) or the function prerequisites below are no longer fulfilled.

The convenience opening function also opens the windows.
