The GPS antenna (A2/23) receives the signals from the satellites. The integral antenna amplifier is supplied with voltage via the coaxial antenna cable (phantom feed). The satellite signals received are amplified by the antenna amplifier and likewise passed on via the coaxial cable to the GPS receiver. The GPS antenna (A2/23) serves only for reception GPS signals; signals are not transmitted.
