Mirror lens dimming feature 

The mirror lens of the inside rearview mirror unit (A67) can be electrochromatically dimmed. Dimming is accomplished depending on the readings from the automatic dimming mirror sensor, forward (A67h1) located in the mirror housing and the automatic dimming mirror sensor, rearward (A67h2) located in the mirror lens.

Microphone holder 

As of 24.4.04 the inside rearview mirror (A67) serves as a bracket for the hands-free system microphone group (A67b1) whose signals are read in and processed by either the hands-free system control unit (A35/1), the voice control unit (A35/11) or the UHI control unit (universal mobile telephone interface) (N123/1) depending on the equipment and national version.

Ambient lamp 

As of 24.4.04 an ambient lamp (A67e3) is installed used for ambient lighting. The ambient lamp (A67e3) is switched "ON" with c. 15R and switched "OFF" with c. 15 R. On vehicles with code (345a) rain sensor, except code (413) panoraioa sliding roof (model 203.7) and except code (414a) electric glass tilting/sliding roof (model 203.0/2), the ambient lamp (A67e3) is switched on as soon as the controller area network bus class B (inner compartment) (CAN-B) is activated (e.g. unlocking) The ambient lamp (A67e3) is switched off 30 minutes after locking is recognized or the CAN-B by the overhead control panel control unit (N70) is deactivated.

Garage door opener 

The garage door opener is a separate component integrated into the inside rearview mirror (A67)The garage door opener system consists of the garage door opener transmitter unit (A67n2), the garage door opening button 1 (A67s1), the garage door opening button 2 (A67s2), the garage door opening button 3 v(A67s3) and the garage door opener indicator lamp (A67e4).

Taximeter with code (450) taxi version 

The taximeter is a separate component which uses the surface of the mirror for output of the individual displays. The integrated taximeter control unit (A67n1) is read in via a serial interface by the special vehicle multifunction control unit (SVMCM) (N26/9).The taximeter control unit (A67n1) reads in the taximeter button 1 (A67s4), the taximeter button 2 (A67s5), the taximeter button 3 (A67s6) and the taximeter button 4 (A67s7) and actuates the taximeter display (A67p1).
