Faults in COMAND operating and display system - AF82.85-P-6000-01H

Fault symptoms in COMAND: 

• Display shows: "No CD" even though CD/DVD is inserted.
• When the system is restarted, the source is automatically changed.
• Battery discharge. System does not shut down after it has been woken up by an incoming call.
• Battery discharge. System does not shut down after at least one call has been made. ON button is nonfunctional.
• 16:9 and zoom settings are not selectable in TV mode (automatic return to 4:3).
• While in operation, 4 dashes are shown in the instrument cluster.
• Frequent audio dropouts of 2-3 sec (crackling and/or clicking).
• Head unit can output the wrong part number or hardware status during diagnosis, but the software status is always shown correctly.
• MP3 reproduction not possible.
• No SMS download from portable CTEL to COMAND if portable CTEL is plugged in and out again very quickly within a certain time.
• Traffic congestion warning function faulty. In some cases, the position jumps or the system does not calculate a new route.
