	Remove
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	-
	Risk of injury  from grazing or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels.	-
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	-
1	Raise vehicle.	Position arms of the lifting platform in such a way that the bolts (2) of the rear diagonal struts (1) are accessible.	AR00.60-P-1000V
2	Remove the rear diagonal strut (1) on the side of the rear muffler to be replaced (9a)
3	Disconnect the rear muffler (9a) at the separating points (arrow) marked by center punch marks using the chain pipe cutter at a right angle.	Deburr separation point.

4	Unscrew the nut of the rear muffler reinforcement (4)
5	Unhook and remove the rear muffler (9a) from the exhaust rubber mounts (5)	To simplify removal: Apply liquid lubricant to the retaining brackets (6) and on the holes of the exhaust rubber mounts. Check exhaust rubber mount for wear, replace if required.

	Install
6	Clean combustion and corrosion residues from the connecting points
7	Push the hose clamp (7) onto the center exhaust system (8)
8	Hang rear muffler (9a) in the exhaust rubber mount (5)
9	Loosely screw in the nut for the rear muffler reinforcement (4)
10	Align the rear muffler (9a) and install using a hose clamp (7) without tension to the center exhaust system (8)		*BA49.10-P-1003-01N
11	Tighten the nut of the rear muffler reinforcement (4)		*BA49.10-P-1005-01N
12	Install rear diagonal struts (1)	The bolts (2, 3) of the rear diagonal struts must only be tightened once the vehicle is standing horizontally on its wheels.

	Check
13	Inspect installation position and clearance of exhaust system	The exhaust system must be mounted free of tension, align exhaust system if required.
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.	-
14	Conduct engine test run and inspect exhaust system for leaks
