Warning display, function - GF54.65-P-4104-01SK
The center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4) and rear PTS warning indicator (A44/3) are actuated by the Parktronic control unit (N62). Depending on the calculated distance, visual and if necessary acoustic warning information is given out by the center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4) and the rear PTS warning indicator (A44/3) (see tables below).
Visual warning information
- Yellow and red LEDs
The brightness of the LEDs depends on the day/night signal of the overhead control panel control unit (N70). The brightness is reduced to 30% of the maximum brightness.
Acoustic warning information:
- Intermittent signal to continuous signal via an internal sound source.
For a faster distinction the warning chimes of the center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4) and rear PTS warning indicator (A44/3) have a different frequency.
The center instrument panel PTS warning indicator (A44/4) emits the warning chime with a higher frequency
When acoustic warning information is given out, audio noise is muted by the audio gateway control unit (N93/1).
The volume of the warning sound of the rear PTS warning indicator (A44/3) is increased when the Vario roof is opened.
System status display
After the self-test of the Parktronic control unit (N62) all the LEDs light up for approx. 1 second.
When the Parktronic system (PTS) is ready to function the outer yellow LEDs light up with reduced brightness.
In the event of a malfunction the corresponding red LEDs light up. In addition a warning chime is emitted for 3 seconds.
