Remove/install front seat frame trim panels - AR91.10-P-1200V

12.4.06 Plug bracket added Step 6.1
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by backrest suddenly folding forward if release lever is accidentally operated during inspection and repair work When working on the seat, be careful not to accidentally release the backrest mechanism allowing the seat to fold forward. Keep body parts clear of the backrest travel area. AS91.00-Z-0005-01V 
1 Set left or right front seat up and to the rear    
2.1 Undo cover for height adjustment handle (2) using rear mounting wedge (arrow A) and remove Only on vehicles without code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)
or without code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Fig 3
3.1 Unlock backrest release handle (3) on lower cutout (arrow B) using a suitable screwdriver and remove Only on vehicles without code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)
or without code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
NOTES Carefully unlock backrest release handle (3), locking lug on the backrest adjuster may be damaged.
 
4 Remove bolts (4)    
5 Unclip seat cushion trim (1) using assembly wedge and remove SPECIAL TOOL Fig 3
6.1 Unclip plug bracket (16) for belt tension sensor (B48/3) from trim (1) Front passenger seat and vehicles as of 1.06.06 with code (494) USA version  
7.1 Separate electrical connector (5) Only on vehicles with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)
or with code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
 
7.2 Undo bolts (6) and remove left seat adjustment switch group (S22) or right seat adjustment switch group (S23) Only when replacing trim (1) and on vehicles with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)
or with code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory
 
8 Install in the reverse order
