| Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. |

| 2 | Reduce pressure in cooling system | ||
| 3.1 | Remove right air filter housing | Model 171.454/456 | AR09.10-P-1150VA |
| 4 | Unscrew nuts (1). | ||
| 5 | Push heat shield (2) to one side until the hot water hoses (3) and the hot water hose (5) are accessible | ||
| 6 | Loosen windshield washer fluid hose (4) from the heating water hose mount (5) and put to one side | ||
| 7 | Loosen heating water hose (5) from bracket (6) | ||
| 8 | Clamp off heating water hoses (3) | Fig 3 | |
| 9 | Clamp off heating water hose (5) | Fig 2 | |
| 10 | Loosen clamp (7) | ||
| 11 | Remove duovalve (Y21) with connected heating water hose (5) upward | ||
| 12 | Disconnect electrical connector (8) | ||
| 13 | Release clamp (9) | ||
| 14 | Detach heating water hose (5) from duovalve (Y21) | ||
| 15 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 16 | Check coolant level, correct if necessary | ||
