INSPECT Checking
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas.
Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

IMPORTANT Notes on handling refrigerant R134a Air conditioning with refrigerant R134a AH83.30-N-0003-01A
1 Light up the complete engine compartment with a UV lamp, if necessary remove the remains of the existing contrast agent using special cleaner and wash the engine
2 Check the refrigerant circuit using leak detector additives Carry out steps as per the operating instructions of the UV leak detection kit. -
3 Inspect the refrigeration circuit for leaks IMPORTANT Guide leak tester probe beneath the presumed leakage point. Coolant is heavier than air, and sinks. Do not test service valve immediately after filling. AR83.30-P-5520V
4 Inspect area between expansion valve and firewall for contrast agent using UV When no traces of contrast agent can be detected: Check evaporator for leaks AR83.30-P-5550Q
5 Charge air conditioning system   -
