Check all visible parts for signs of leaks and damage - AP00.20-P-0053V

INSPECT Check     
DANGER Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. -
IMPORTANT If fluid traces (e.g. oil) are found in the engine compartment or the lower engine compartment paneling, determine cause and remedy against separate calculation    
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Opening engine hood, moving to upright position and closing   AR88.40-P-1000V
2 Check for leaks and condition
  • Motor 
  • Cooling system 
  • Fuel system 
  • Power steering pump 
  • Brake system 
 
3 Check lines and hoses for leaks and condition, pay attention to chafing points and routing
  • Motor 
  • Cooling system 
  • Heater and air conditioning system 
  • Fuel system 
  • Exhaust system 
  • Power steering 
  • Brake system 
 
4 Raise vehicle with lifting platform    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Lift/jack up vehicle   AR00.60-P-1000V 
REMOVING Remove     
5 Remove bottom engine compartment paneling    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Detach/attach lower engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105V
INSPECT Check     
6 Check for leaks and condition
  • Motor 
  • Radiator 
  • Automatic transmission 
  • Manual transmission 
  • Rear axle 
  • suspension elements 
  • Rubber boots on rear axle shafts 
 
7 Check lines and hoses for leaks and condition, pay attention to chafing points and routing
  • Cooling system 
  • Fuel system 
  • Exhaust system 
  • Clutch operation 
  • Automatic transmission 
  • Power steering 
  • Brake system 
 
INSTALLING Install     
8 Install lower engine compartment paneling IMPORTANT Install lower engine compartment paneling after all maintenance operations have been completed.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Detach/attach lower engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105V
9 Lower vehicle    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Lift/jack up vehicle   AR00.60-P-1000V 
10 Close engine hood    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Opening engine hood, moving to upright position and closing   AR88.40-P-1000V
